Forest Row is just a couple of miles away from the home of A.A Milne – the much beloved author of Winnie-the-Pooh. Milne moved with his family in 1925 to Hartfield, a picturesque village in Ashdown Forest. It was the area that inspired the setting for the books, and today visitors can stroll the famous woods and play pooh sticks from the bridge.
